to ground under, under
the firm soil where tears sow
below their eyes have fall
to the ground down a snug casket
its carve meticulous, luster
but one cannot see it under.

  1. Oh…..this makes me sad. Brings to mind my brother’s funeral many many years ago. It’s one of the saddest moments, that lowering of the coffin into the earth and the earth is tinged with tears then. You’ve really touched me here.
