Fish and Fire

Fish and Fire
Fish and Fire

but fish chomp when hungry
& then again, chomp when not

but fish flicks its fins
while she waggle its tiny tail
to find that bounty she just ate

she’ll swim the danger of sea trails
and ask other fishes what they ate,

because fish chomp when hungry
and then again, chomp when not
she greeds what’s rare and meaty
yet soon enough, it will rot

The excerpt was from Crystal Willams Parable of Fish and Fire which I got from Bibliomancy Oracle. It was part of day 1 NaPoWriMo challenge. The poem I wrote speaks about too much greed.
